compSTATS tracks loss rates, incident rates, average costs per claim, loss development and more. Information can be sorted and aggregated by types of JPAs or non JPAs (cities, counties, schools) and soon, by geographical location. Reports can be generated automatically or users can manually select certain entities and statistics to include. Click on "Screenshots" (to the right) for samples.
All of the information in compSTATS comes from the annual reports that California's self-insured public entities are required to turn in every October to the Department of Industrial Relations, Office of Self-Insurance Plans. CIPRA obtains these reports electronically and maintains the database supporting compSTATS.
